The Library occupies the old premises of the canning industry “Anthos” (flower), also known as “Fougaro” (Funnel). The Library was created by Florika Kyriakopoulou and was enriched by her private collections and donations. It includes a wide variety of around 14,000 books on humanitarian studies, as well as almost 150 magazines and newspapers in Greek, English and French. It also has material from different artistic domains. The Library exhibits works of contemporary art, also part of F. Kyriakopoulou’s private collection. The Library was founded in 2000, while from 2010 it partnered with the Center for Hellenic Studies of the University of Harvard.
