Vrachati is a small, seaside town, located 12km away from Corinth. It is a popular destination for tourists, and it has many holiday homes. Vrachati has about 350 permanent residents, who are occupied with agricultural and tourism-related businesses. It is built on a verdant area. Its beach is well-organized and maintained, and it has also been awarded with a Blue Flag certification.

The village's name originates from a Turkish “Agha” (Lord) of the area. It holds a festival every 26th of July, dedicated to Agia Paraskeyi ('Saint Paraskevi'), the patron saint of Vrachati. This event attracts many people. The monastery of Agia Paraskevi is located on Vrachati's main road.
