The village Borsia is located near Mycenae. The monastery of Prodromos was built in the 15th century just before the Fall of Constantinople. During the Greek Revolution the monastery was a spiritual refuge. After the historical monastery of Dervenakia, Theodoros Kolokotronis carried the wounded men to this historical monastery. During the Civil War, the monastery was deserted for about 30 years, until 1978, when it became a nunnery after a Synodical Decision. It is famous for its honey, which is collected by the nuns.
