Krini is a beautiful mountainous village with 293 inhabitants located in the municipality of Aigialeia. It is built on the slopes of Mount Panachaïko at an altitude of 779m and is 25km from Aigio. Its founding date is unknown, yet it was recorded as Arahova (a Slavic name) in Venesian census documents of the 17th century and early 18th century. It was not until 1956 that the village was named Krini.
In the 1940s due to landslides many of its inhabitants migrated to Avythos Rododafni village.
Today, the equestrian club of Aigio organizes regular escapades along picturesque bridleways in Krini and in the wider region.
