Vyziki is a traditional village with 241 residents, built at an altitude of 750m in the midst of a green landscape, 83km from Tripoli. In Vyziki, the animal husbandry is highly developed. In the center of the village, the church of Agios Nikolas (St. Nikolas) stands out.
On August 15th, the village organizes a big festival. It has a folklore museum and nearby you will find the ruins of the Frankish castle of Akova dated from the 13th century. On the east of the village, you will find the Syrroho spring. Vyziki village is first mentioned in 1688. The village was completely set on fire, in 1826, during the Greek Revolution by Ibrahim’s troops.
