The monastery named Transfiguration of the Saviour (Metamorfosi tou Sotiros in Greek) is north of the city of Nafplio, in the village Agia Paraskevi that used to be called Tselo. Over the monastery sit the ruins of a tower. It was probably built in the 14th century by the Venetians and originally was five stories tall. From the tower's top it was easy to oversee the bay of Karathona and any traffic in the port.
Entrance is free.
