In 1998 was built the model meteorological tower, of a total height of 32 metres. It was built for the european program MEDEFLU and it is the only one of its kind in Greece. The tower is managed by the Agricultural University of Athens.

Other than its Italian Oak, which covers most of its area, it is host to many other species such as the Aleppo Pine, the Black Pine, the Greek Fir, the Holly tree, the Green Olive, the Juniper, the Judas Tree and the Strawberry Tree. The terrain has an incline of 3% to 20%.
