Many of us have seen people who, out of love and devotion, collect various objects and create interesting museums so as to present and promote their original collection. This is the case of the Museum of Copper. Tasos Birbilis has been collecting for many years copper objects and this hobby drove him to create this unique private museum in Tripoli. His rare collection is exhibited in his family house and includes more than 10,000 copper objects. All of this started with a cauldron for candle-making that belonged to his mother. The collection was then enriched with a large number of rare Greek and foreign coins, as well as some old photographs of the town. Tasos Birbilis was awarded many times for his work and the importance of his collection. These awards decorate his museum.
