Theoktisto is a mountainous village at an altitude of 640m with approximately 400 residents and 6km northwest of Tripoli. It is an exeptional mountainous village and it is built on the foothills of Mount Trikorfo. Until 1927 the village was called Toporista due to the Slavs that used to reside in the region. The residents engage in animal husbandry, farming and cottage industry (the village is also known for its hand-made linens). Theokisto is next to Kalavryta and Mainalo ski resorts, as well as to the Ladona lake and the Lakes Cave (Limnes Cave).
