Visit the mountainous hamlet Goura located in an idyllic landscape full of trees.
A mountainous hamlet of 230 inhabitants located on the slopes of Mount Zireia at an altitude of 950m. It is 62km from Kiato and 53km from Xylokastro. The name Goura probably means a rocky site with many springs. This was the homeland of the chieftain Giannis Gouras in 1821. The inhabitants are mostly farmers and cattle-breeders, but they have also guest houses. The patron saint of the hamlet is the Archangels celebrated on November 8. The Gouras Community Center organizes every year a grand fete on August 15.
