A lowland settlement of 130 residents, on an altitude of 18 metres in the plains of Argolida, 6.7 kilometres east of Argos. The village is also known as Avdimpei, named after the Turkish ruler of the area. The residents are mostly engaged in agriculture, its main products oranges and olives. The society called "Women's Association of Ireo" are active in the village, organising every year at July 1st many events.
